THE URGE TO ACT in an acting class at SBCC School of Extended Learning that takes place on Tuesday evenings at the Wake Center and on Thursday evenings at the Schott Center. Directed by Jon Nathan, the UCSB Jazz Ensemble will present standards and contemporary favorites from the jazz repertoire on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 7:30 pm in Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall.

Featuring principal dancers Connor Reider (The Chieftains, Celtic Fyre, Celtic Wings) and Carrie Stotmeister (Celtic Wings, An Irish Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland) and multi-instrumentalists from the Kerry Traditional Band led by the great Ryan McKasson on fiddle along with Colin Cotter, guitar, vocals, Christa Burch, vocals, bodhrán and Preston Howard-Wilde on uilleann pipes and flutes. Ireland will ring through the theatre, as the Band shares its passion for the traditional music, song and dances of Ireland!

As part of the World Music Series, the UCSB Son Jarocho Ensemble will perform on Wednesday, March 11th at 12 pm in the Music Bowl. Directed by Hugo Macario, the ensemble will present music and dance from Veracruz.
