Junior League of Santa Barbara annual Rummage Sale 2019

Santa Barbara’s largest indoor garage sale boasting 10,000+ sq ft of new, almost-new and gently-used items for sale including: baby items, clothing for all, art, housewares, appliances, furniture, wedding dresses, kitchen and dining wares and more!

All proceeds fund JLSB community impact projects focused on improving the lives of at-risk young women in our community.

Forbidden Desires

June 7 & 8, 2019 — A sultry and sexy production where dancers will captivate your attention through a variety of dance ensembles and nine stories of desire. Combining dance genres of burlesque, hip hop, jazz-funk, contemporary, and striptease, “Forbidden Desires”, performed by the Dance with Harout Performance Company, invites the audience into the mind of the Producer’s past, as it relates to desires he perceived as forbidden. Special guest performance by the LA Dance with Harout Performance Company on Saturday, June 8th.

Trombone Studio Recital: Solos and Ensembles

Under the direction of UCSB faculty member Bill Booth, the UCSB Trombone Studio will present a recital featuring solo and ensemble works for trombone on Friday, June 7th at 12 pm in Room 1145 in the Music Building.

Graduate Student Recital: Christy Lee Peterson, Soprano

Graduate vocalist Christy Lee Peterson (soprano) will present a master's recital with pianist Jared Eben on Saturday, June 8th at 7:30 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall in the Music Building. The program will include works by Lori Laitman, Charles Gounod, Georges Bizet, Reynaldo Hahn, Gabriel Fauré, Gioachino Rossini, Antonín Dvořák, and Gerónimo Giménez. Ms. Peterson is a student of UCSB faculty member Dr. Linda Di Fiore.

Kayak Painted Cave in Channel Islands National Park

Kayak in the 2nd largest sea cave in North America! Only offered 20 times this summer, Painted Cave is part of Channel Islands National Park and extends a quarter-mile long with an entrance ceiling of 160 feet. See dolphins and whales, explore the cave’s beautiful colors as well as its surrounding caves and admire the crystalline waters below your kayak. Departing from the harbor in the morning, guests will be on the water all day and kayak/snorkel from the boat. Sit back and take in the beauty of the Santa Barbara Channel while we take care of all of the details. You will receive a continental breakfast on the ride to the island and a hot lunch on the ride back.
