In conjunction with the opening of its upcoming exhibit, Mermaids: Visualizing the Myths & Legends - Photography by Ralph A. Clevenger & Friends, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum is presenting a unique mermaid sighting event. On Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 11:30 am-2 pm, the public is invited to meet mermaids in the Harbor (sightings from 12:30-1pm), have their pictures taken with these legends, and view the new exhibit. This event is generously sponsored by Jack Mithun and Mercedes Millington and Mary and Chuck Wilson.

YouthWell Wellness Workshop

Students (ages 10-25), parents, teachers, and those working with youth will learn from TEDx speaker, Jenny Schatzle, how body neutrality can transform our self-image, improve self-esteem, and she will share tools on how to eliminate negative messages. Local leader Jordan Killebrew and college student Caroline Anderson will share their experiences of overcoming an eating disorder.
