UCSB Arts & Lectures presents MSNBC political analyst and former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele on The Political Scene According to Steele, Thursday, April 21st at 7:30 p.m. Pacific at Campbell Hall.

After a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19, American Dance & Music’s (AD&M) annual event, Up Close at The Dance Hub (formerly known as Dance: Up Close and Cultural) is back. The hour-long performance features new works that range from ballet to modern dance to ethnic dance and movement theater. Two shows at 2:00 and 4:00. Donation required. The exhibit TIPPING POINT: too much / not enough—currently at the Arts Fund’s 6,000-square foot 821 State St. gallery space, the former Sur la Table—demonstrates how the existential threat of climate change is impacting the work of these seven artists whose focus is environmental decline.

Dos Pueblos Theatre Company will present BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Apr. 22, 23, 30, May 6 & 7 at 7pm and Apr. 23, 30 and May 7 at 2pm in the Elings Performing Arts Center.
