Directed by Robert Koenig, the UCSB Chamber Players will present an evening of chamber music favorites on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 7:30 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall. The UCSB Chamber Players consist of a variety of ensembles, from duos to quintets and occasionally larger groups, which study and perform masterpieces of the chamber music literature.
Los Pinguos came to the United States from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a mixture of Latin rhythms, reggae, rumba flamenca and rock. The sound of the band has claimed fans worldwide. Los Pinguos have appeared on three of the famous Putumayo World Music compilation albums, Baila!, Radio Latino, and World Party. They have performed worldwide in places such as India, Bali, The Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, and throughout the United States. $5 for UCSB students and youth under 12; $15 for general admission.

Graduate pianist Erik Lawrence will present a doctoral recital with cellist David Kealhofer and mezzo-soprano Kelly Guerra on Saturday, November 16th at 7:30 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall on the UC Santa Barbara campus. The program will include works by Claude Debussy, Lili Boulanger, Jules Massenet, and César Franck. Lawrence is a student of Professor Robert Koenig.
