The Arroyo Hondo Preserve is open to the public with reservations on the first and third full weekend of the month, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Honoring the past in an intersection of connection, community, and culture, this program offers a symphonic and visual homage to our region’s centuries old Chumash heritage from local composer and preservationist Cody Westheimer. Paired with Robert Schumann’s romantic musical gift to his future wife, the Piano Concerto in A minor, featuring world-renowned pianist and Santa Barbara favorite, Alessio Bax; Jean Sibelius’ Valse Triste; and Mozart’s inimitable masterpiece, Symphony No. 40, this repertoire delivers a deeply moving and moody tribute.

Parker Quartet – Chamber Music Concert

Renowned for its dynamic interpretations and polished, expansive colors, the group has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the preeminent ensembles of its generation, dedicated purely to the sound and depth of their music. The Quartet has appeared at the world’s most important venues since its founding in 2002. The Parker Quartet is now in its seventh year as faculty members of Harvard University’s Department of Music in the group’s role as Blodgett Artists-in-Residence.
