William Peters, founder of Sharing Crossing Project and author of At Heaven’s Door, will be hosting a free webinar on Thursday, October 13th with special guest Dr. Martha Jo Atkins - End of Life Counselor, Teacher and FilmMaker. This free webinar is an introduction to how to experience a shared crossing - a beautiful experience with someone at the end of a life that suggests loving connection and communication beyond this human realm.

All skill levels are invited to experience the tradition of sketching from original works of art in current exhibitions. Museum Teaching Artists provide general guidance and all materials.

PFLAG Santa Barbara Spanish Speaking Meeting - Time for sharing, support and discussion

Nebula Dance Lab presents Humanity on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 8 PM. Inspired by the short story "The Child's Story" by Charles Dickens, Humanity is an exploration of living one's truth, being present, and celebrating our differences. Choreography by Chloe Roberts, under the direction of Devyn Duex, with special guest performances.

The UC Santa Barbara Wildfire Prevention and Policy Lecture Series is excited to host a speaker event on October 14th, 2022 from 4:30 - 5:30 PM: Why have humans lost control of wildfire in the western United States? 
Our guest speaker is Park Williams, a hydroclimatologist in the Department of Geography at UCLA. 

Teens are invited to join us every Friday to jam out and play their favorite songs together. JAMS is a safe space for kids to meet new people, get creative, and maybe even meet some new band mates! In a spectacular tour-de-force Season Opening, The Symphony continues its impactful tradition of performing arts collaboration to create new experiences for the community. More than 150 performers from State Street Ballet, Santa Barbara Choral Society, Quire of Voyces and Sing!, the Music Academy’s children’s chorus join The Symphony on stage in a program that features a new ballet to Gabrielle Fauré’s pensive Pavane, a wildly decadent ode to wine and fertility with Camille Saint-Saëns’ Danse Bacchanale from the opera Samson and Delilah, and concludes with Carl Orff’s beloved and powerful Carmina Burana. This concert is part of the Granada Synergy Series.
