The Santa Barbara Sail & Power Squadron (Your local chapter of the United States Power Squadrons - USPS - providing quality boating education courses, vessel safety information, and social events) is offering a 2-hour seminar on Weather.

Graduate pianist Erik Lawrence will present a Doctor of Musical Arts recital with pianist Zhongxi Lin and baritone Valdis Jansons on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 7:30 pm in Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall. The program will include works by Claude Debussy, Franz Schubert, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Sergei Rachmaninov. Lawrence is a student of UC Santa Barbara Professor Robert Koenig.

Solvang Fine Art is a having a Grand Opening reception and ribbon cutting ceremony on December 10th, 2021 from 4-8 pm at 482 First St in downtown Solvang.

Graduate vocalist April Amante (soprano) will present a Doctor of Musical Arts recital with pianist Alvise Pascucci on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 7:30 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall on the UC Santa Barbara campus. The program will include works by Vincenzo Bellini, Lori Laitman, George Frideric Handel, H. Leslie Adams, João Pedro Oliveira (UC Santa Barbara Corwin Chair of Composition), Katherine Balch, Gaetano Donizetti, Benjamin Britten, and Gustav Mahler. Amante is a student of UC Santa Barbara Professor Isabel Bayrakdarian.

The Santa Barbara Eastside Society is sponsoring the 67th Milpas Holiday Parade.

Join us for the 4th Annual Old Town Goleta Holiday Parade on Hollister Avenue. Dozens of custom floats, marching bands and local dance troops will be traveling down the avenue to show off their talents and celebrate the season. And, don’t forget Santa who will be joining the action!

Joyful noises will be emanating from the Lobero on December 11th for an outstanding live show with some of the best players in the music industry. Come support TRAP and have a great time doing it!
