UCSB Middle East Ensemble Winter Concert

The UCSB Middle East Ensemble is thrilled to feature an exciting group of guest artists: Mehrdad Arabi will present solos on the Persian tombak drum and the daf, a large frame drum, while a duo of Greek dancers from Ventura will present an extended dance finale.

Virtuoso Tari has assembled the perfect show of memorable movie music, performing his exceptional arrangements of songs and themes from some of the greatest films of all time. As a guest performer, Lyric Soprano Jessica McKenzie will be accompanied by Maestro Tari on the piano, singing songs that were featured in famous movies over the last century. A delightful family event for those looking to escape into a world of magical cinema rhapsody.
