The Django Festival Allstars bring the music of legendary Gypsy Jazz Guitarist Django Reinhardt fully into the 21st century. Their unique, high-energy performances pay tribute to Reinhardt, who is considered one of the greatest guitar players of all time. ​​In “Government Inspector” by Nikolai Gogol, all politics are local. Gogol’s deeply silly satire of small-town corruption offers a riotous portrait of rampaging self-delusion. When the crooked leadership of a provincial village discovers that an undercover inspector is coming to root out their commonplace corruption, the town weaves a web of bribery, lies, and utter madness.

Writers of all levels are invited to participate in this informal exploration of the Museum's galleries as an impetus to writing. Monthly sessions are led by a visiting writer who begins with a conversation and prompt, partially inspired by works on view. Participants write on their own, then reconvene to share and comment on each other's work. Please bring something on which to write.
