La LoCA Milonga Presents: Tanghetto

La LoCA Milonga closes the 2022 season with an epic milonga and tango concert with Tanghetto live. This is 21st century tango. Tanghetto was born in 2002 as a bold proposal to modernize tango with new sounds and technologies.The result is a platform to deliver a fresh take on tango to both the traditional dancers and the concert hall audiences. Nominations and awards for prestigious Latin Grammy and Premio Gardel awards followed. Tanghetto plays for full houses everywhere in the world, and has become the electro tango band with the greatest international relevance.

VFW Post 1649 and PCVF Veterans Day Ceremony

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1649 and Pierre Claeyssens Veterans Foundation are pleased to announce they are once again hosting the Santa Barbara community Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Barbara Cemetery, 901 Channel Drive.

Ortega Park Community Update

The City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department will host a community event to provide an update on the Ortega Park Renewal Project and the evolution of the park’s design over the past year. The Department will also use the event to gather any final public input to refine and finalize the design before drafting construction drawings for the future park.

Wild Night Out

Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network's annual fundraising benefit returns for another year of wild fun! Join fellow wildlife-lovers for an evening of food, drinks, music, live auction, and plenty of magical surprises – all benefitting SBWCN's work to rehabilitate local wildlife.

Costumes are encouraged! Throw on your wildest animal gear, mystical attire, or favorite festive wear.

All proceeds from this event directly benefit Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network’s work to rescue and rehabilitate local wildlife.

John Primer/Bob Corritore Blues Band

Santa Barbara Blues Society presents John Primer/Bob Corritore Blues Band, with opening acoustic set by Cameron Nichoson at the Carrillo Recreation Center on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 7pm.

Volunteers Gather Together to Fight Suicide

The annual Santa Barbara Out of the Darkness Community Walk, hosted by the Greater Los Angeles & Central Coast Chapter will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 10:00 AM at Goleta Beach Park
