Paint, print, collage, and draw your own real or imaginary summer road trip inspired, in part, by Japanese woodblock prints depicting famous stops along the Tōkaidō road.
Join Patrick Melroy as he leads a workshop in "Chris Kallmyer: Ensemble." Visitors are invited to learn more about the exhibition and participate in hands-on music-making activities. All ages are welcome
"Ensemble" is a multi-media installation by artist Chris Kallmyer. Central to the exhibition is a specially fabricated, communal bell-ringing instrument that serves as a resource for communal activities.
Patrick Melroy currently maintains a studio practice in the city of Santa Barbara California. Melroy’s practice exists most often as interactive objects and experiences designed to engage an audience. His work has appeared in shows from Belgrade Serbia to Los Angeles. He was a founding member of the influential Uppur Bunk Collaborative and a charter member of Bottled Lightning Projects. He received his MFA from the storied Department of Art at the University of California at Santa Barbara. http://www.patrickmelroy.com/
