A 27-year-old woman was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital after a vehicle collision in Solvang Friday afternoon.
At 4:10 p.m., Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies, Santa Barbara County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, and ground ambulances arrived at 150 Alisal Road in front of the Alisal Guest Ranch.
They discovered a vehicle had crashed into the tree and the driver required major extrication. A Calstar helicopter landed on the nearby golf course where the driver was then airlifted to the hospital with major injuries.
The Sheriff’s office is investigating the cause.
