SR 1 at around 3:45 pm today I saw a group of 5 to 7 police cars with lights flashing approaching Hancock college going south with emergency lights flashing lead by a pickup truck with 3 flags one of which was a VFW flag. A LEO helicopter flashing white lights overhead preceded the procession.
Anybody have info on what or who was being honored with this display?
It is unclear why local law enforcement were involved in this in apparently official entourage action at public expense. From the news story the deceased was not a member of the police and he died in a non-combat event. One assumes that his family has LE connection. Odd.
