At least it wasn’t their own fire that got out of control.
It was started by a person, not sure who that person is or if it was an accident. But in time we will know.
Officials know but are being very hush hush about it… perhaps it’s time for the Fire Department to provide some factual information to the community about the start of the fire that nearly ravaged our town.
Climate change, obvi
@Mudgeon – would it be a source if you gave it up?? Let’s get some accountability from our public agencies.
Definitely climate change! Mother earth is punishing us for our collective sin! We must repent now before it is too late! The fire has nothing to do with our leadership or our forest land management practices.
yea they really should be held accountable for putting out a fire they didn’t start and not releasing the cause quickly enough for you
OK, texting if not climate change.
Technically true probably, but drought years and dry brush contribute to the likelihood of any spark finding fuel.
Climate change does not increase the frequency and destructive outcome of fires, droughts do. Man trying to control nature (i.e. stopping/preventing natural fires) also increases the frequency and destructive outcome of fires. Macpuz can call me a denier, but you could literally put “due to climate change” after everything. How about we just do our best to stop polluting our planet? And have less babies, because people are the number one cause of anthopogenic climate change, less people = healthier planet. Of course none of our political shills using climate change rhetoric just to get elected will mention that.
