A huge amount of water flowing down APS for about 15 minutes now. Saw a fire truck and a city public works truck pass about 5 minutes ago. Water is brown in color.

Water stopped flowing just after 3:30PM. Any idea as to what caused this?
Most likely a water main break heard there was one somewheres.
Thanks Roger
@154.. Really? what caused this…? It’s called a crumbling infrastructure. Your tax money goes to Santa Barbara Housing Authority’s subsidized housing instead of rebuilding water and sewer mains that are more than 100 yrs old.
Some sort of water pipe caused this
Homeowners in that area use a lot of water when they have their people wash so many vehicles on a Sunday getting ready for the new week. Have you ever noticed how much it takes to wash a Suburban and a fleet of Range Rovers?
Decades ago I was driving up APS late one night. There was a noticeable amount of water flowing down the road. I stopped at the source, drove up the driveway and knocked on the front door to the house. The man inside had no clue that his water was coursing down the street. He thanked me and thanked me. Sometimes it pays to ask “Did you know your water is running down the street?”
Muddy water like that is typically a sign of a busted water main.
