Was Nielsen’s Market Sold?

By an edhat reader

A lot of people in the Santa Ynez Valley are saying the historic Nielsen’s Market has sold and/or is in escrow. There hasn’t been an official announcement yet but we’re curious if anyone has more information?

The establishment was founded in 1911 in its original location until it moved in 1959 to its current location on the corner of Alamo Pintado Road and Highway 246. Many of the employees have been there for at least 20 years.
