Warming Centers Open as Rain Heads for Central Coast

Santa Barbara County has opened four warming centers as rainfall is expected to land on the Central Coast Thursday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) reports a deep moist layer will bring cloudiness and a slight chance of showers to the area. A storm system will enter the region later Thursday into Friday with moderate to locally heavy rain at times.
Another storm system will bring light to moderate rain back to the area Saturday into Sunday. Dry weather is expected next week but with cooler than normal temperatures.
An estimated half-inch to a full inch of rain are expected with a possibility of one to two inches in the mountains and foothills. Gusty winds of 25-45 mph are also expected.
A sandbag filling station is set up at Lower Manning Park for all.
The Freedom Warming Centers are opening Thursday through the weekend. Below are the details:
