Wanted Felon in Santa Maria

At about 1400 hours today, Santa Maria Police officers arrested 29 year old Michael Casias for a felony parole violation, possession of drugs for transportation and sale, and possession of a loaded firearm. SMPD Officers, with the help of the CHP Air Unit, located Casias in the 1200 Blk. of W. Cook St. in the passenger seat of a vehicle. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and took Casias into custody without incident. Another adult male, 21 year old Ivan Peralta, was also arrested from the vehicle for drug-related charges. Two female occupants were released from the scene without charges.
