Two local real estate listings have been selected as finalists in television network HGTV’s 2021 Ultimate House Hunt.
A listing at 5200 Foxen Canyon Rd, represented by Carey Kendall of Village Properties, and a listing at 1395 Oak Creek Canyon, represented by Riskin Partners Estate Group of Village Properties, have been selected as finalists in the “Outdoor Escapes” category of the Ultimate House Hunt.
HGTV’s month-long online promotion is held annually, showcasing extraordinary homes for sale in eight categories: Amazing Kitchens, Beachfront Homes, Countryside Retreats, Curb Appeal, Downtown Dwellings, Homes with a History, Outdoor Escapes, and Waterside Homes.
The Foxen Canyon home is located in Los Olivos along the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail. It includes a 64-acre vineyard estate, guest house, tennis court, a gated entrance that winds past vineyards, a pond to the main residence, and is surrounded by sweeping terraces and lush gardens overlooking the vineyards. The terraced facade overlooks a tropical oasis with a swimming pool and guest cabana. The 20-acre vineyard also produces award-winning premium estate-grown wine.
“5200 Foxen Canyon Rd is the epitome of an outdoor escape. We are thrilled to share the estate with all the fans of HGTV and the Ultimate House contest,” Kendall said.

The Oak Creek Canyon home is located in Montecito and was created over the course of five years by architect Peter Becker, international designer Rosie Feinberg, and the build team at Giffin and Crane. It’s modeled after an Italian Villa and combines the work of old-world artisans with the conveniences of modern technology. Walls of glass and steel doors open to a south-facing loggia, pool terrace, and guest house, all overlooking beautiful ocean and island panoramas.
“Villa Bella Vista is reminiscent of Italy’s most lavish villas with jaw-dropping ocean views in the coveted coastal enclave of Montecito. We are excited to share the estate with millions of HGTV fans in the Ultimate House Hunt contest,” said Sarah Hanacek, partner of Riskin Partners Estate Group of Village Properties.
Viewers can tour the 66 homes selected as finalists by viewing photo galleries on HGTV.com before casting a vote for their favorite properties. A winner will be chosen in each category based on the highest number of votes received, and an overall favorite will be awarded for the listing receiving the most votes. Additional properties are included in the Global Homes gallery, which spotlights homes from seven different countries or territories around the world.
