Edhat Reader: What’s up with Amtrak? Sounded like the train was stopped on the tracks just blowing it’s horn for a very, very long time this afternoon.
We’re near the location and could hear the train blowing it’s horn repeatedly, off and on for close to 5 mins. or more. We figured it was someone on the tracks, but it seems odd that the train appeared (sounded) to be stopped and blowing it’s horn from a fixed position.
Oh no, how tragic! I was driving past the Modoc bridge on the 101 while the train was stopped on it. My kid and I were wondering why it was stopped and honking. That is so sad. Condolences to the friends and family.
