About 7:30a (Mon) a gray pickup truck overturned on State Street where the Highway 101 exit is.
Unclear from the CHP report if the truck was on the highway and rolled onto Hollister or if it was on that road the whole time. Seems like the truck was on Highway 101 SB and went on the State Street offramp and rolled onto State.
Driver did not stick around, was last seen running down State Street.
Additional report states the truck hit a gray SUV before flipping. Does not look like the SUV stuck around either.
Driver has not been found or apprehended as of 8:00a

You guys failed to mention on your article this morning that this Toyota truck was reported STOLEN on the Mesa to the SBPD two days prior to the crash. The guy drove around for 2 days on a reported stolen vehicle without getting caught and managed to destroy the car, flee the scene and get away with it. What a disappointment!! Guy could have killed someone, not to mention he almost ran my son over when he stole the vehicle on Saturday morning.

Rollover accident near Fast Lane oil change. Late model, grey Toyota Tacoma on it’s side with the nose smashed in. Bystanders said the driver ran fun the scene.
There was also a white Mercedes sedan involved. Not sure if it was road rage or racing… they both almost hit me near Patterson in the road work area on 101SB.
Late model grey Toyota pickup. There goes someone’s insurance.
they don’t bother with insurance
@nuke – who is “they?”
The late model Toyota Tacoma is probably totaled. Anyone know if it was stolen?
yes it was stolen from a mesa neighborhood over the weekend
Stolen starting it from outside of the vehicle. Another reason why mine is a stick shift.
Witness reports said the Tacoma was racing the dark SUV it hit before crashing, with the SUV continuing south.
The driver must be an idiot to think racing a Tacoma is a good idea.
I’ll bet they were not racing and were up to crazy criminal bulls#. Anyone find a gun?
