Vehicle Rollover Near Cuyama, Driver Airlifted to Hospital

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a vehicle rollover with an injury near Cuyama on Sunday evening.

At 7:01 p.m. crews responded to Highway 166 near Schoolhouse Canyon and discovered a Toyota Rav4 traveling westbound had rolled 150-feet off the roadway.

An adult female, the single occupant of the SUV, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

A Calstar helicopter responded and airlifted the woman to Marian Regional Medical Center.

Highway 166 is open. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of this collision.
