Vehicle Over the Side of Harris Grade Road

One person sustained major injuries after their vehicle crashed over the side of Harris Grade Road in Lompoc.

At 10:09 a.m. Tuesday, Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the scene and discovered a vehicle approximately 100 feet over the side of the roadway. 

Crews set up a rope system and were able to access and extract the patient who sustained critical injuries.

The victim, who was reported missing on Monday evening, was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
