A vehicle crashed over the side of Harris Grade Road in Lompoc on Tuesday evening.
At 7:27 p.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to the area near Vandenberg Village and initially had a difficult time locating the vehicle. It was eventually found approximately 150 feet over the side of the roadway.
Firefighters hiked down to the vehicle and discovered two patients. One was able to self-extricate from the vehicle while the other required minor assistance. A rope system was not needed to assist in the rescue.
Both patients suffered minor injuries but declined transport to a local hospital.
Law enforcement is investigating the cause of this incident.
How often is there an accident on this notorious road? It seems like weekly.
