Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a vehicle that crashed into the creek at Rocky Nook Park.
At 10:51 a.m. Saturday, crews arrived in the 600 block of Mission Canyon Road and found a Jeep had left the roadway and crashed into the creekbed, according to SBCFD Captain Daniel Bertucelli.
Firefighters assisted an injured female was inside the vehicle and transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
Wow, just wow. What next? Rocky Nook’s been overtaken by true losers for some time now, but hey it’s possible she was just a spring breaker from out of town that was instagramming while driving. Look at the firefighters’ expressions – “yep, another fool move right here”.
This has to be a top 10 of worst act of driving imaginable.
Rebuild the bridge from pre historic to practical. Give walkers, joggers, school kids, seniors, tourists and locals, those in cars, and those on two wheels and opportunity to get where they’re going safely.
Yes, and let’s rebuild the Mission while we’re at it. What does an historic bridge have to do with this accident?
