Is this going to lead to another motel being taken over for us citizens to provide for another round of homeless housing?
Taking over a motel for a cool $1.25 million every three months. I fail to see how that is a good value. As I understand it, this is being paid for with measure C that is supposed to be used for maintenance.
The weather and scenery are better than in most of the entire contiguous USA. Without judgment, realisticallym it makes more sense to winter here, more so if vagrancy laws are draconian elsewhere. No amount of free housing will stem the tide. Hobos used to put marks in chalk on places to get a free meal or unlocked places to sleep. The internet has replaced chalk. “Build it and they will come.”
“us citizens” vs. the “homeless”: how charitably inclusive of you, NOTREALLYDAVE…..
Poor little homeless thieves, they needed a “warming fire” on an 88 degree day. The brush will be just as dry when it turns colder. Coming to your neighborhood soon.
