Gilbert Montoya
As a result of these warrants, 42-year-old Gilbert Montoya of Santa Maria was found to be a felon in possession of a stolen firearm, ammo and illegal and untested cannabis products for sales.
Detectives found a small and unlicensed commercial cannabis grow was in a room that was protected by false walls used to conceal its location. The illegal product, cannabis, firearms and cash were seized pursuant to the investigation.
Montoya was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm (felony), possession of stolen property (felony), possession of marijuana for sale (misdemeanor), and unlawful possession of ammunition (felony). He was booked at the Main Jail and is being held on $35,000 bail.
Easy to catch these guys, their electric bill is way higher than their neighbors unless he tapped into illegal power. 10% of the bail amount, $3,500, and he is out and back in business.
The headline should read, “Convicted Felon Running Illegal Cannabis Operation”
SHMONK… because the stirring of outrage requires inflammatory language.
