Two People Rescued During High Tide at Tajiguas Beach

Two people fishing at Tajiguas Vista were rescued during high tide on Tuesday.

At 7:50 p.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a 9-1-1 call from an adult male and an adult female who were fishing and caught by the high tide during nightfall.

“After locating [the] vehicle topside, firefighters found [and] assisted the couple topside from the beach,” said Captain Scott Safechuck.

No injuries reported.
