Two women at Comforts of Home Senior Care celebrated their 102nd birthdays last week with a special visit from a mini horse.
June Francis and Helen Schrumpf attended their 102nd birthday celebration on March 5th at their senior care home. Loved ones were in attendance as well as a surprise visit from Little Star, a local miniature horse who has a therapeutic pet certification and works with disabled children and seniors in the community.
“What a special time it was – they truly enjoyed themselves… It was such a joy to see the smiles on their faces as they greeted all the guests who came to give them birthday congratulations and celebrate this very unique and very special occasion,” said Trina Dellinger of Comforts of Home Senior Care.
The ladies were ready to take victory laps around the block in their 1932 Classic Roadster golf cart but the rain cancelled those plans. Although they stated for their 103rd birthday they’ll give it a go!
“Thanks for sharing with our community – we all feel blessed to be a part of this with Helen and June, two wonderful ladies who really deserve to be celebrated!” said Dellinger.
