Two Injured in Vehicle Rollover Near Milpas Offramp

Two people sustained injuries in a vehicle collision causing a rollover on Highway 101 near the Milpas offramp on Wednesday morning.

Around 7:45 a.m., emergency responders received a report of a crash in the southbound lanes involving a white pickup truck and grey sedan.

The sedan flipped onto its roof and landed in the two far right lanes of the highway. The female driver was discovered in the roadway with major injuries to their head and face, according to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.

The truck crashed off the roadway landing in an embankment on the right side of the highway. The male driver sustained minor injuries.

Both people were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by a ground ambulance for treatment, reports the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.

The roadway was closed to a single lane for a period of time following the crash.

The incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
