Two Injured in Highway 1 Vehicle Rollover

Two women sustained injuries following a vehicle rollover on Highway 1 Monday afternoon.

At 1:41 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responed to the northbound lanes near Firefighter Road near the Vandenberg Space Force Base in Lompoc.

Crews discovered a single vehicle collision where a Nissan sedan had rolled in the roadway.

There were two female occupants in the vehicle, one sustained minor injuries and the other moderater injuries. One required extensive extrication from the vehicle. 

Both patients were transpoorted to Marian Regional Medical Center by a ground ambulance.

Highway 1 northbound was closed in the area while crews cleaned up the scene.

The cause is under investigation.
