Two Displaced in Solvang Apartment Fire

County firefighters responded to a structure fire in a Solvang apartment building on Monday afternoon.

At 3:23 p.m., crews arrived in the 500 block of Second Place for a smoke coming out of a second story apartment unit. 

According to the County Fire Department, two occupants inside the unit evacuated after being notified by the smoke detector.

Crews knocked the fire down and were able to confine the fire to just one unit.

The damage to the apartment displaced both residents. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
