“We send our heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and urge our community to remain vigilant. Our best defense for COVID-19 is to wear a face covering and stay at least 6 feet from others. The more we can do to slow the spread, the quicker we can move to expanded re opening,” said Van Do-Reynoso, Santa Barbara County Public Health Director.
There were also 75 new COVID-19 cases reported today with a total of 207 active cases. There are currently 75 people hospitalized including 26 in the ICU.
All local employers and business owners are urged to adhere closely to sector health and safety guidelines. Ensuring a safe environment for both employees and customers is critical to slowing the spread of COVID-19 and assuring that businesses remain safely open during this time.
