On Thursday night at about 8:40 PM, SMPD officers responded to the 500 Blk. of N. Broadway to a report of an armed robbery. The suspect stole property from the victim, struck the victim several times, then fled. The victim was transported to Marian Hospital and treated for his injuries. There is no identifiable suspect information at this time for this robbery.
Approximately five minutes later, two victims walking in the area of 200 N. Western were also robbed. The victims fled on foot after their property was stolen.
The suspects are still outstanding and officers are still trying to determine if the incidents are related. The public is encouraged to call SMPD at (805) 928-3781 Ext. 2277 with any information related to these incidents.
