Tree Down at the Botanic Garden

Went for a walk through the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens.  Back by Quail Grove we heard cracking in the upper canopy of a oak tree. At first we thought it was a loud woodpecker.   It got louder and louder and as we looked up it snapped and came crashing to the ground right in front of us.  One minute the pathway was open and the next completely blocked.  As the limb came down it hit two other trees and took out those limbs also.  One minute the pathway was clear and the next completely blocked.  When a tree falls in the woods does it make a sound?  Yes and you feel it too.
