By John Palminteri

A large tree branch snapped Friday night about 7:30 p.m. at Santa Barbara’s East Beach blocking parking spots and a bike lane.

No vehicles were parked in the area at the time. About three spots were impacted. A Santa Barbara City Forestry crew was notified. Arborists say it is a Monterey cypress.
