Trapped Hiker Rescued from Hot Springs Trail

A hiker was rescued from Hot Springs Trail by helicopter on Wednesday morning.

At 10:30 a.m., Santa Barbara County & Montecito Firefighters, Santa Barbara County Search & Rescue, Santa Barbara County Air Support, and a ground ambulance responded to the scene.

Crews discovered a 57-year-old male was hiking off the main trail when he slid down about 30 feet and became stuck.

Air Support Helicopter 964 was able to hoist the hiker and responding crew members out from the scene.
