People are driving like maniacs around here. My husband and I take nightly walks and our route includes the APS/Salinas/Sycamore Canyon/Yanonali roundabout, as well as the Yanonali crossing below. I would estimate over 50% of drivers either fail to stop at the stop sign or fly through the roundabout, up/down Montecito Street and practically mow us over if we’re in the crosswalk. I have had to jump back on the curb and yank my dog with me to avoid being hit. We wear reflective clothing and headlamps so visibility isn’t the issue. Never assume that the driver will stop! Your chances are about 50% at best.
