The City of Goleta is notifying community members of traffic impacts tomorrow, March 10, on Hollister Avenue and Storke Road due to Southern California Edison emergency repair work. Motorists can expect delays and should use alternate routes if possible.
The work will take place beginning at 9 A.M. through the evening on Hollister Avenue and Storke Road. It is estimated that repairs will take approximately 16-18 hours to complete. Traffic control will involve an eastbound lane closure on Hollister Avenue from Santa Felicia Drive to Glen Annie Road, and a southbound lane closure on Storke Road from the US 101 overpass to Marketplace Drive.
The repairs are a continuation of an incident that occurred on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 when a Southern California Edison (SCE) circuit malfunctioned causing a large outage in the Camino Real Marketplace and nearby residential areas. SCE was able to conduct temporary repairs to restore service and will be conducting the additional emergency repairs tomorrow,
We know this is a heavily traveled area and SCE wants to pass along its appreciation for the public’s understanding as crews work to ensure that Goleta residents do not experience service disruptions.
