Here’s the eclipse from Mitchell, Oregon where I went from 8/18-8/22. It was taken with a superzoom camera, a Canon SX40, using a Tiltall tripod and a DIY solar filter. The total eclipse lasted briefly – just long enough to take it all in, to get a good look with my 20×80 astronomy binoculars and to remember to remove the solar filter to image the corona – barely made that one. A lot of driving but a very memorable trip.
