By an edhat reader:
I am disappointed that I can’t find any information about a hit & run traffic collision that occurred on 6-20-19 in the 2100 block of Bath Street, somewhere around 10 pm.
I was bicycling on Bath St, heard the crash, saw a white pickup leave/flee the scene & called it in to 911 dispatch. I stayed around while AMR loaded the injured driver of a sedan and presumably took him to SB Cottage Hospital (2 blocks away). Santa Barbara PD officers on the scene said the white pickup involved had been located.
Today when I did a Google search I don’t see it mentioned anywhere. (Roger the Scanner Guy, you let me down!)
I was curious to learn more—such as: how is the injured driver (I saw head injury); who was driving the white pickup that fled the scene; do we know why that driver left the scene; were alcohol, marijuana, prior DUI’s, driving on a suspended license or outstanding warrants involved?
Why are you saying that you’re disappointed? Rodger does a service, he doesn’t report on every single thing, but he reports on a whole lot of things!
Bear Cat Warehouse has great Scanners cheap…
Have you tried going down the Police Station and asking for said information? Roger may not be the only one who missed the dispatch call so no one sent the intrepid reporter or intern to the scene to ask the questions you wanted answered.
I’m disappointed in the R.P. cheap shot friend of Bingo’s are you Yeah I thought so…
I read it the same way roger did. He isnt paid to do this so when we get info we get it. if you want to find info do your own leg work next time and look it up or call the police department and ask.
