All three adult victims were Santa Maria residents. Santa Maria Police Detectives and the Crime Lab responded to continue with the investigation.
It is the mission of the Santa Maria Police Department to do everything we can to keep members of this community safe, and hold those accountable who would cause harm to others.
SMPD Detectives are asking for residents in the surrounding area to check surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity. Additionally anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the Santa Maria Police Detective Bureau at (805) 928-3781 X2277 or the SMPD Tip Line at (805) 928-3781 X2677 (COPS).
A real tip-off when victims don’t call 911 but instead get taken POV to the ER. Says ‘Gang’ all over it. Next step; the victims can’t provide any info on the shooters.
The number of victims is also a give-away. How about getting gangs to provide their own battlefield medics? Provide the medical training for whomever they designate, give them some initial supplies and a number to call when they need to buy more and the same price ERs pay. Let pay for their hobby instead of the general public.
