The National Weather Service (NWS) warns potential thunderstorms could reach Santa Barbara.
Monsoon moisture is bringing a threat of thunderstorms to portions of southwest California through Friday. Any storms that develop will be capable of producing brief heavy downpours with isolated flash flooding possible, as well as strong erratic wind gusts, reports NWS.
While the alert includes Ventura, Santa Barbara, and possibly San Luis Obispo Counties, current forecasts for Santa Barbara do not include thunderstorm or monsoon weather.
Current forecasts predict cloudy and sunny weather in Santa Barbara with temperatures in the high 70’s and low 80’s.
