Sad that everyone is commenting about a wooden rubber band toy rife and NO ONE comments on this incident…
COAST – actually a great point. The wooden gun thing was just so absurd it elicited a ton of responses. Believe it or not, I love those rubber band guns and have bought my kids some over the years. Sadly, it seems shootings (even in our area) are so common these days, they hardly get noticed. You’re right, it IS a sad state of affairs.
People critical of the fake machine guns would make the point that this incident is pretty predictable when such “toys” are common. So it’s not like folks want to ban toys and ignore actual gun violence. They want us to see the connections.
I am against gun violence. I am more against over prescription of psychotic drugs that cause people to have and carry out violent actions. I have no information on this particular case. we will probably never know.
The whole psychoactive drugs thing is a huge fallacy. Learn something, please.
How many more kids need to be shot?
How do you know that she didn’t inadvertently shoot herself while handling a gun?
cuz they would have used the phrase “self inflicted gunshot wound”.
likely gang related…..
SO had plenty of time to check for GSR and need help for the investigators for what happened near Motel 6 and the creek which has the second highest spot for drug and crime problems in Carp…hum, self inflicted wouldn’t be my first guess.
OOPS – why is likely gang related? What info do you have about this poor girl being shot?
Perhaps she was a perp
OH–you think you can chase down the owner and that you can recover damages from him or him or enforce some other remedy? Can you get that “irresponsible owner” to restore life to the dead gun victims? Prevention is the best solution. Punishment is pretty unsatisfactory in the final analysis.
