Sandbar usually does but they’re not my favorite.
Playa Azul has a good happy hour with tacos, so does Milk and Honey
Playa Azul is always fantastic
Christino’s Bakery near the airport has the best adobado I’ve had anywhere in town. They have some special today. Check them out!
Come on folks, let’s support actual Latino businesses!
Cristino’s gets my vote and not just on Cinco de Mayo. A quality place.
happy hour?
anyways…you don’t need a special, just go to Lily’s Tacos. real street tacos, nothing more. super cheap and super delicious.
They should quiz deal opportunists on the meaning of the holiday in order to earn the deal!
Tacos
I guess better late than never?

El Paseo has an all-you-can-eat taco fest on Tuesdays. You have to make your own, but for $13 you can gobble-gobble-gobble as many tacos as you want. I believe drinks are half-price from 4-6 PM, so a cheap outing by Santa Barbara standards.
If you go to La Unica (formerly the Taco Bell, then Dunkin’ Donuts on State Street between Hitchcock and Hope near Whole Foods)….bring your appetite, but make sure you have enough $$$ to pay the bill. More affordable is the new Maiz Picante (formerly Daniel’s Bakery….between Edomasa and Handlebar Coffee on DLV).
Two new ones, I haven’t tried them yet.

they’re not bars or hang out spaces. And no restaurant is in much of a position to be offering discounts, try to support them anyway.
