Suspects Detained Near Panga Boat Landing at Arroyo Hondo Beach

Deputies assisting with panga landing at Arroyo Hondo- Vista Point.  Call time 10:42 am- State Parks requested an agency assist for boat landing. Coordinating with State and Federal agencies for jurisdiction.

Sheriff’s Deputies have apprehended 14 subjects associated with a ‘Panga Boat’ in the area of Arroyo Hondo and continue to search for others who fled the landing site. Based on the number of life vests recovered there could be up to 18 suspects. Copter 1 and 2 K9 units are assisting. Deputies are sending the Jail bus to the area to transport those apprehended. Unknown at this time what contraband may be involved.
