Surf Fashion at Rincon

So here’s the deal…Surf fashion intrigues me.

Over my years as a surf photographer at Rincon, I’ve discovered that the people watching comes a close second to watching the surfing at the annual Rincon Classic surf contest.

From experience, I know that surfers don’t spend a lot of time primping.  Hats are grabbed while on the fly, hair can be a bit scruffy, oft times uncombed.  Jackets, t-shirts and shorts are usually wrinkled.  I like that.

Sunscreen, a water bottle, shades, a bar of wax and the right surfboard are the priorities.

That said, I feel the need to share a few photographs of stylish surfers and surfer supporters from prior Rincon Classics.
