Rod Stewart ended his concert Saturday evening at the bowl with no notice and no encore at 9:11 pm. Why? He was great, as long as he lasted. But the abrupt ending was surprising and disappointing.

There was a medical emergency there around that time. So hopefully that person is feeling better and it wasn’t Sir Rod.
Probably so he can fly home to Las Vegas before the airport closes at 10pm.
The City-imposed 10pm curfew, comes with a huge $$$ penalty, that the performer has to pay, if they go past that curfew. Some bands don’t mind paying, and they will play past the curfew. oh, and there’s a noise level also. usually some city official is at the soundboard, with the thingie that measures the sound level….

He started playing promptly at 7:30 with no opener and played until 9:15 with no breaks. That’s more time on stage than most performers do – especially at 74 years old. Not sure why anyone felt dissed.
