Structure Fire Response to Goleta Apartment

Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the at a Goleta apartment complex om Saturday.

At 10:29 p.m., firefighters responded to the 300 block of Matilda Drive.

Residents returned home to an alerting smoke detector and used a fire extinguisher to tamp down the fire, which was confined to a piece of furniture, according to the County Fire Department.

Three people are displaced by the damage done to one apartment unit. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
